2025 Annual Meeting

Cooperatives in Action: A Student Intern’s Guide to the Cooperative Advantage

Give your high school and college interns a solid foundation in the cooperative business model! The Missouri Institute of Cooperatives invites your interns to a free virtual session on July 8 at 10:00 a.m., led by Dr. Keri Jacobs from the University of Missouri.

This interactive session will explore:

  • The fundamentals of how cooperatives work

  • What sets co-ops apart from other businesses

  • Why cooperatives matter in today’s economy

This is a valuable opportunity for interns to expand their knowledge of cooperatives and understand their role in today’s business landscape—all in one engaging session.  Register now: https://bit.ly/Co-opInternRegistration

FFA Public Speaking Competition

The Missouri Institute of Cooperatives proudly sponsors an annual public speaking competition for Missouri FFA members, designed to deepen students' understanding of the cooperative business model. Participants are required to interview a representative from a local cooperative, identify a real-world challenge, and propose a thoughtful solution in a prepared speech. The contest advances through local, area, and district levels, culminating in a state competition held in Columbia. Cash prizes are awarded at both district and state levels.

Join us on November 6, 2025, in Columbia, Missouri for the Missouri Institute of Cooperatives Annual Meeting—a premier event for cooperative leaders across the state.

This gathering offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, attend focused sessions, and build valuable connections within the cooperative community.

One of the highlights of the day will be the Missouri Cooperative Hall of Fame ceremony, where we will honor the 2025 inductees and celebrate their lasting contributions to Missouri’s cooperative legacy.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate the best of Missouri cooperatives.
